    Steven Wynn (BEc.ANU.) is the Managing Director and also a Registered Tax Agent (2527909). Steve is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in property depreciation. His unique blend of expertise in economics, accounting, taxation, and construction makes him an invaluable asset for property investors and developers alike.

    Steve holds a degree in economics with a major in accounting from the Australian National University. His career began in the 1990s as a credit analyst at a leading Australian commercial bank, where he honed his skills in financial data analysis for large-scale loans, particularly in the property development sector.

    Steve transitioned into accounting, preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses. He obtained his tax licence, becoming a registered tax agent.

    Simultaneously, Steve pursued studies in building and gained practical construction experience, giving him a comprehensive understanding of building processes and costs.

    Leveraging his multifaceted background, Steve established his own house and property depreciation firm - Write It Off. For the past 20 years, he has been producing high-quality depreciation reports for a diverse clientele, ranging from small-scale investors to large property developers.

    Steve's business has successfully delivered thousands of depreciation reports, cementing his reputation as a trusted expert in the field of property depreciation.

    Michelle Chinnery - Office Manager
    From Hairdresser to Property Investor 

    Michelle began her journey in property investment with the purchase of her first investment property while traveling across Australia.  Originally a hairdresser for 25 years, an accident prompted Michelle to seek a career change and this is when she found a position selling investment properties.  

    Michelle expanded her expertise by adding mortgage broking to her skill set where she could further assist others to achieve their investment dream. She then progressed with ease into financial planning to not only ensure full industry compliance but to offer more value to clients with a diverse range of investment options. 

    Michelle completed a real estate license to round out her knowledge and then started her own business to provide optimal outcomes for clients. This gave her the opportunity to purchase another three properties.

    A move to relocate from the city to the country, saw another change in her career as she took on the position of bank manager for a community bank. Here she gained valuable knowledge of the banking system from an employees perspective.

    Despite this role and various other accounting roles, the passion for property investment persisted and the offer of working with Steve and Write It Off was too good to pass up.  Here, Michelle stays engaged with the world of property investment and, as an added bonus to Write It Off - and Michelle, she enjoys sharing her expertise to help others with investment properties that sign up for Write It Off services.

    There are building inspectors located in all the major capital cities across Australia ready to inspect your property and provide you with a depreciation schedule and report.

  • Our depreciation schedules are prepared by experienced building estimators and signed off by both the Managing Director of the company and a Senior member of the AIQS (Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors) experienced in the business of estimating building costs.

    Our qualification is one of only a few who are recognised by the ATO to be able to complete rental property depreciation reports.
